M-FX Support Center

When you first open M-FX or click the location detection icon, the app offers to detect your country to automatically select your national currency (e.g. TRY in Turkey, USD in the US, EUR across Europe) and your preferred language.

• Ephemeral GPS Processing: If you allow location access, coordinates are transmitted via TLS/HTTPS to our API, evaluated in-memory for region detection, and immediately discarded. M-FX does not intentionally persist raw GPS coordinates in its application database or local app storage.
• IP Fallback: If you decline GPS permissions, M-FX smoothly falls back to standard network IP country headers.
• Managing Permissions: You can enable or disable location access at any time via your device operating system: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > M-FX.

M-FX supports 150 official fiat currencies worldwide. You can customize your watch list with any combination of currencies:

• Add Currencies: Tap the "Add Currency" button to search 150 currencies by ISO code (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD), country name, or localized currency title.
• Set Base Currency: Tap the Base Unit badge on any currency card to re-anchor all conversion rates to that specific currency.
• Cross Rates: Mid-market rates are refreshed every minute from our exchange rate provider.

M-FX features a private, client-side portfolio calculation utility:

• No Registration Required: You never need to supply an email address, create an account, or log in.
• Client-Side Storage: Your portfolio items, quantities, and calculations are kept exclusively within client-side storage (web browser localStorage or mobile on-device application storage / SharedPreferences).
• Server Privacy: Your portfolio holdings are never sent to or stored on M-FX servers.
• Backup / Reset: Clearing your browser data or deleting the mobile app removes stored portfolio data.

M-FX supports comprehensive internationalization:

• Switching Languages: Use the language selector in the header or app menu to change the interface language.
• Locale-Aware Formatting: Numbers, decimal delimiters, and grouping separators format automatically in accordance with your chosen locale.
• RTL Support: Full right-to-left layout support for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu.

To keep M-FX free for everyone without paid subscription walls, the mobile app integrates Yandex Mobile Ads:

• No Cross-App Tracking: M-FX does not participate in data broker networks. Mobile advertising data processing depends on the active production SDK and consent configuration.
• No In-App Purchases (v1.0): There are currently no active paid locks or subscriptions in version 1.0.

M-FX is engineered to be dependable during travel:

• Automatic Caching: Whenever your device connects to the internet, M-FX caches the latest verified exchange rates locally.
• Offline Conversions: If you lose internet access (such as in airplane mode or while travelling), you can still convert currencies using the last cached market snapshot.
• Cache Notice: An indicator informs you when rates are displayed from local cache until connectivity is re-established.
